09 - The month of January - The start of a new year [and yet another mile-stone]


It's monthly review time again. It has lasted past the new year and into it's 3rd Quarter!!

Well, as usual, let's do a recap at what I've posted so far, shall we?

Just to remind, I would be reviewing on a weekly basis, what the week's supposed theme (if any) would be, and the individual songs posted (as well as the actual link to the post).

And that's the end of the recap. The change in format as well as my inability to remain consistent with my posting instead further increased my workload. But as they say, once you simplify one aspect, you tend to put in more things because you can. (or something like that, you know what I mean.. right?)

So, if I ever made a resolution to remain tactful with my project postings, I would have failed it within the first week of the new year. Plenty of songs to go round (despite initial plannings) such that I probably could retire my project now as it has probably hit 365 songs. But no matter, for it is something that I enjoy doing, sharing my likes in music. The next month should NOT see such crazy postings, but it won't be docile either. More on that later.

Apart from the crazy amount of songs here, January has been a great start to the final build-up to the end of the project. The week contained Touhou, VOCALOIDs (for a 2nd consecutive month), Great/Epic level Anime songs (based on my rating), and 2 weeks of posts I enjoy posting (despite what public opinion might be). I decided to put VOCALOID week here because of the 39 significance (39 can be read as Mi-Ku, and also as San-Kyuu (which means Thank You)) as mentioned in the week. Also, as pointed out in the previous monthly review, VOCALOID week has been marking milestones for this blog-project, so 3/4 mark is a good place to have them at too.

In any case, we usher in the new month of February here. And what better way to do it than to alter the project just a tiny bit... just for the month. I'd be starting the week on the 1st, and we shall go through 4 weeks of postings till the 28th, before resuming where this month left off in March. Also, additionally, as the 2nd month of the year, I will be doing at LEAST double song feature per Posting. Not to mention that there is essentially only 2 major weekly themes in the month. But that's spoiling a lot for now, so please watch out for the coming month

BUT First!! An announcement!
The blog will be taking a 7-day break in light of up-coming Lunar New Year celebrations (as well as heading down to lesser internets). I will have to post double-time to cover what I want to cover by the end of the month AND Still have time to breathe in my life. Please be patient and await the return of the posts on the 8th of February.
