And onwards to day 2 of week 39, and we have another duet. Incidentally, as I failed to mention in the previous post, this week will cover some of the VOCALOID collaboration musics around.
So, without much further ado, here's MIKU and LUKA in:-
[Nico link is temporarily down, so have to make do with youtube for now]
Song: magnet by 初音ミク & 巡音ルカ
magnet by Hatsune MIKU & Megurine LUKA
A very interesting and nice song. Though the contents of the lyrics are.. well, and excerpt from
the Vocaloid wikia on the song (found on the first song name link) is as below:-
" A song about the forbidden love between two girls (yuri), magnet shows the emotions involved with the prejudices of homosexuality. "
So do take the song in general as it is, for it's great music. In any case, with that in mind, the following male nico-chorus (and the associated covers) can be very weird indeed (as some of them intend them to be too):-
[A very well done nico-chorus version, with 9 pairs of male-cover. For a list of the individual vids used to make this, use this link here.]
[An interesting cover version, namely because it is by 2 known VOCALOID composers, samfree and cosmo-p]
[Female cover version by nayuta and yumo. This I like]
[Cover by Liqu@ and Reji. A very good mix too, this one.]
[A mixed nico-chorus version (the female injection makes it better). I have to lead you to the actual page to see all 16 pairings used to make this vid, viewable here.]
There are even other VOCALOID covers, such as Gakupo + KAITO and KAITO + MEIKO version, though the latter doesn't really have the 'forbidden love' theme around it.
Other stuffs include the concert vid:-
[Live concert performance in 2010's Miku's 39's Giving Day Concert]
This also appeared in the PSP game, Project Diva 2nd:-
[Enjoy the game]
And this vid also appeared when I searched for magnet:-
[Presumably later on in the vid after Imitation Black]
Plenty of other nico-covers (this is a great song to cover really), so much so that I'll leave it to you to look and listen for it here. Have fun!
That's it for today.
Join me tomorrow for another duet from a familiar composer.
Until then, ciaoz
Note: I didn't realize the theme associated with this song until I looked it up 20 minutes ago. Oh wells, doesn't make it a worse song.
