Welcome to the second post, and here, I feature the latest Single by Sound Horizon (released in June 2010), ~Ido e Itaru Mori e Itaru Ido~.
Firstly first, don't ask me what the title means. The best I can give you is something google translate gave me, and that's "Send private message leading to Ido". None the wiser, but still.
Anyways, on to the 1st song of the single:-
Song: 光と闇の童話 by Sound Horizon
Hikari to Yami no Dōwa (Märchen) [The Fairytale (Märchen) of Light and Dark] by Sound Horizon
[Note: While the title reads Dowa, it is pronounced Marchen, which is German for what Dowa means anyways (Fairytale)]
While the previous album had a Greek myth motif, this one has a more German Goth feel to it. As this is a 'prologue single', a more better fleshing out of it will be revealed in the next album (which WILL be featured later in the week). Until then, enjoy some additional videos from this electrifying song first. Oh, and lyrics are up there (the first link is to a general site lyrics + translation for the whole single while the other link is the usual of the blog):-
[A PV made for the song! It tells a lot! Sadly though, I only managed to find a Spanish subbed version.]
[A nico kara off-vocal version. Also shows the PV. might be higher quality than youtube?]
[A piano cover. Also included here is a Guitar version 1, another guitar (version 2), and a Bass cover.]
[8-bit music? Full song version can also be found here.]
Anyone picked out something from the song? It actually features Hatsune MIKU!!
Right, I'll give you time to listen out for her before I move on to the next song.
Song: この狭い鳥籠の中で by Sound Horizon
Kono Semai Torikago no Naka de [Inside this small Birdcage] by Sound Horizon
[Nico kara, for all you sing-a-long-ers]
[A nico collaboration cover. Along with a nicely hand-drawn PV]
[A piano cover]
[Another piano cover, since it does this song much justice]
And moving onto the final song of the single:-
Song: 彼女が魔女になった理由 by Sound Horizon
Kanojo ga Majo ni Natta Riyū [The reason she became a witch] by Sound Horizon
[Nico kara version with lyrics.]
[Another great piano cover.]
And, as a bonus:-
[A hand-drawn PV for much of the single itself. Didn't have a chance to preview the full thing, but this looks to be interesting. Do have a look]
That's it from me for this single. I'll be moving onto a album next, so catch me tomorrow then (assuming no hiccups). Till then, ciaoz
[Note: I admit, this single was the first time I heard of Sound Horizon, and I can say, I regretted not hearing them sooner.]
