For my next song, I'm going to put something interesting, that is:-
Song: rise by Origa (Ol'ga Vital'evna Yakovleva | Ольга Витальевна Яковлева)
This song (which I find unique), was used as the OP to Ghost in The Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG [攻殻機動隊 S.A.C. 2nd GIG | Kōkaku Kidōtai: Sutando Arōn Konpurekkusu Sekando Gigu], or more commonly shortened as GiTS: SAC 2nd.
Lyrics with some translation can be found here (as well as on the song title above).
Most of the additional videos require the video below, the original OP of the series:-
[Crappy quality]
[Better quality but loud spanish subs across the screen]
Why do I need these 2? Because most of the additional stuffs come from, PARODY vids (courtesy of NND). Let's begin:-
[From IdolM@ster. It's the highest rated on on NND]
[2nd liked in NND, this one is from Haruhi. I like how it tries to follow the 'supposed' mood of the song using scenes from the series (which is extremely the opposite)]
[The one that started me on all this years ago, this one is from Kannagi. I like how the OP portrays the show in a way that is COMPLETELY not what the show is like.]
Jumping on, here are some special mentions:-
[From Code Geass, one of the most relevant I've seen. Sadly not that popular]
[From Gurren Lagann]
There's also vids from FFXI, Nanoha, Gintama, Strike witches, Muv-Luv, Crisis Core FF7, and even from Ga-Rei Zero featuring the minor original characters (You know, the ones that appear for only 1 episode).
[A decent organ cover]
[P.Diva EDIT version. Putting it here because I haven't done so in a while now]
[The best one related to Touhou. Sadly, it's a WIP (I think)]
[This one is also Touhou, but not as well done IMO]
Also, as a special addition, here's:-
[Pitched down version. Always sounds refreshing these stuffs]
And of course,:-
[EXIT Trance]
That's it from me today. It's not much today, just a lot of parody/MAD vids of the OP, but I enjoy putting it up.
Anyways, my first ever Russian (well, partly) song, I truly enjoy this song a lot. I hope you do too. And look forward to seeing you tomorrow for the next post.
Note: A note on the singer, she's born Russian, sings partly in English, and is 100% (right now that is) active in Japan only
