Week 43 Day 6 - Harukanaru Toki no Naka de/ Shounen Onmyouji

For today's starting post, I'm gonna take a step backwards (in time, and pace of course) and bring forward something quite unknown. The songs in question are:-

Song: 遥か、君のもとへ・・・ by 関 智一, 高橋 直純 & 宮田 幸季
Haruka, Kimi no Moto e... [Far Away, To Where You Are...] by Tomokazu Seki, Naozumi Takahahashi, and Kouki Miyata

[Note: Video completely UNrelated]

Song: flowin' ~浮雲~ by 浅川 悠 & 桑島 法子
flowin' ~Ukigomo~ [flowin' ~Floating Clouds~] by Yuu Asakawa and Houko Kuwashima

These 2 are the OP and ED to the 2004-2005 series Harukanaru Toki no Naka de - Hachiyou Shou [遙かなる時空の中で ~八葉抄~]. I doubt that many would have heard of the series, but the songs are worth a mention.

The OP, is pretty general with 3 male seiyuus singing, I'd say. A decent song, but not really memorably in most sense. The actual OP viewable below:-

Now that I look back at it, not really flashy nor captivating at all. Why did I fall for it? Certainly not the OP though. Additional stuffs:-

[Random MAD from a series which I don't recognize (Duel Saver). Oh wells, lack of material]

[An EXIT T... unes? version of the song. It's a piano/acoustic cover to it. Kinda nice feel, but weird coming from a source that usually does trance remixes of a song. (In fact, I'm gonna check out this album soon)]

The ED, while good, greatly reminds me of some song I've heard before. It just leaves the impression of "I've heard this song similarly somewhere before" (at least for me). That doesn't make it any worse of a song. In fact, I find myself skipping the show more than the ED when I was watching what this show was about (Yes, I did watch more than half the series). Actual ED not found amongst my sources, but you aren't really missing out on much.

Additional stuffs:-

[Megurine LUKA and Kagamine REN cover]

[LUKA and Kagamine RIN version. Not as good/popular, and it's short version]

[I believe how good a song is, is measured but how good it also sounds in a different pitch. Enjoy the 'male' version]

[Random cover version]

I think I should spare with the others. Not very good some of them. Sighs, so a lesser known series indeed, produces lesser known songs, and therefore, less material.
Well, given that this isn't a really complete post, how about a little generosity on my part (so much for taking this post lightly). Here's another OP/ED from a completely different series:-

Song: 笑顔の訳 by 引田香織
Egao no Wake (Meaning of the smile) by Kaori Hikita

Song: 約束 by 木氏沙織
Yakusoku (Promise) by Kiuji Saori

So I give you the OP and ED to the show Shōnen Onmyōji [少年陰陽師], both of which found below:-

The OP [Has a nice starting beat, and nice start up to the refrain, but overall just ok]

The ED [I really liked the refrain when I first heard it, but even now, it's only OK, perhaps]

Should I post the additional stuffs? Meh, some random bits here and there might do:-

[Dissidia Final Fantasy MAD. The beat of the OPs intro probably makes it nice]

[I believe it's a MAD to Onimusha]

[Hakkuoki MAD]

[Tales of Symphonia MAD to the ED]

Alright, that's it for this post. I ended up giving double dose of doubles... when I wanted to only take half. Sighs, so much for keeping it simple, when the next post will probably be big. Alrighty, back to the ol' drawing board, and for now, it's take care now, bye bye then.

Note: Both of these shows are pretty lackluster, but the songs do pop up as interesting (for me). Hope you don't find this post a 'waste'
