These are the OP and ED to the anime Claymore [クレイモア | Kureimoa], a dark fantasy anime. Although the anime has ended, the manga is still ongoing (and that makes the manga THAT much better than the anime). Still, feel free to have a look at it based on these songs.

is by NIGHTMARE (whom I covered about 2 weeks ago). As usual, their style is pretty interesting in that they do not progress as one would expect such a sound to move about. That's my take on it anyways.

is an interesting one. Again, it cries out familiarity yet it's not something 'common'. I do not know how to describe such a sense, but overall I like this song, possibly because it's of a 'heavy rock' sense? Additional video to make you see my point.
