Week 12 Day 2 - Samurai Sentai!!

Moving on to my week's theme of Tokusatsu heroes, I give you the other thing on the menu:-

As the title says it all, this is the OP for the Super Sentai series of 2009 (the 33rd entry in current 34 entries), Samurai Sentai Shinkenger. The OP below:-



For those finding this show to be very familiar to something hidden deep in your memory, you might find it has likeness to the Power Ranger series. In fact, you should, as Power Rangers was imported from Japan, starting with Koryu Sentai Zyurenjer (1992), the 16th entry of the series. Using footage from the series and additional filming with American actors, that was how Power Rangers was imported to the US, and by default, most of the English speaking world.
[On the other hand, most Asian countries already had them before PR came about, though like my case, I had it in Malay dub]

I actually found this song whilst looking up Psychic Lover. And having previously attempted to follow one full Sentai the series to the end, I once again tried to take this one up, but failed after 1 episode (the series theme didn't really help much too ><). The song is kinda like Psychic Lover's other songs, but are great nevertheless. I will feature them more in the future.
