Week 35 Day 4 - samfree Night Series

Well, get ready folks, cos this post is gonna be a BIG one.
For those who are aware of who the VOCALOID producers are, they should already know the songS (yes, MULTIPLE songs) that will be posted here today. Let's start out with the first one:-



Song: ルカルカ★ナイトフィーバー by 巡音ルカ
LUKA LUKA ★ Night Fever by Megurine LUKA


Eurobeat songs for the win! This shows VOCALOIDs can do anything (their composer wants them to). Samfree's night series are a series of songs that are in the Eurobeat genre, with each title containing the word "NIGHT" in it. Also, he tends to use the more newer (at the time of release) vocaloids rather than standard favourites (for this series that is).

OK, let me tell you how the post would work. I'll be putting the original song first, Nico-karaoke off-vocal version, and then the cover to that song by Kouhei [鋼兵] and Mitani NANA [実谷なな] (as they are the most famous cover artists for samfree's night series) followed by a nico-chorus version. Beyond that, everything else is extra, and probably linked.

Luka Luka Night Fever, the first of what would be a very popular song series, actually doesn't stand out that much to me :P Nevertheless, it is the pioneer of it all, and deserves top spot.

Song: メグメグ☆ファイアーエンドレスナイト by メグッポイド
MEGU MEGU ☆ Fire Endless Night by Megpoid (aka GUMI)

Pretty energetic, and one of the most befitting for Eurobeat (IMHO), this song was just released a day after GUMI's released date. It did spawn her some popularity. Also, she is voiced by Megumi Nakajima (I think I've yet to feature her, but she WILL be in).

So at this point in time, Mitani NANA has somehow become closely associated with the 2 night series' songs. Hence, on April Fool's day 2009, samfree released this song:-

NANA NANA ★ Fever Miracle TONight by Mitani NANA [Note the Katakana instead of Hiragana]

The 'singer' for the song is actually Mitani Nana's UTAU voicebank (released by her). samfree then used it to create this song, but only made it halfway. The remainder of the song was sung by Mitani in her own voice.
Not many versions of this song exist, but nevertheless, a great collaboration between composer and singer.

[Note: Voiced by Miki Furukawa (古川 美季 | Furukawa Miki)]

Another song created for a kinda obscure VOCALOID, even after it's release. Doesn't matter, as this song is hugely popular. Also the song was created on the day of it's release.

[Note: She is voiced by Yuri Masuda, the vocalist of m.o.v.e OH YEA!]

After a somewhat hiatus from the night series, samfree released this in August 2010 alongside the release of Lily. This song was apparently one of the few that was fully utilized during the demo version and made Lily somewhat popular. It is still good Eurobeat.

That is all I want to share. Phew! This post is as long as a monthly review in writing. Wonder with all the vid images, how big it will be. But TO HELL if I care.
In actuality, when I first planned this post, I was only to cover LUKA, MEGU and MIKI. As time went on, LILY, NEKO and PICO came out. Since they all sounded great, I chucked it all in, along with NANA. So much for being greedy, but the alternative would be to create a week on it's own (which loses diversity, and my planning) or 7 mini-posts, which would function as it's own week. Hence I decided to lump it all in one big huge BFM post.

Actually I realize there can be more to share, as I realize there are also several stuffs that appear along with each (or most) release. I shall link it below. They are mainly:-
