Week 41 Day 6 - Nami Tamaki

And.. moving on to my next post in the dead of the night, here's:-

Song: Prayer by 玉置 成実
Prayer by Tamaki Nami

Song: Sanctuary by 玉置 成実
Sanctuary by Tamaki Nami

Well, let's talk about each song individually first.
Prayer, contrary to what some people believe, was never used in any anime or game's context what-so-ever. Which is kinda interesting to say the least. While I do find this song like-able, it is pretty normal and sort of became a common tune for most of her later singles (or so I found). Anyways, some minor additional stuffs:-

[PV Angle 2. Where they take the dance routine in (what looks like) one take]

[A remixed version of the song, officially released on one of her later singles]

Now as for the second song, Sanctuary, was used as the OP to a (quite lesser known) anime, Kiba [牙-KIBA- | Fang]. I tried to follow it, but quickly lost too much interest in it. The OP found below:-

Additional stuffs include:-

[An awesome OP MAD for Gundam Unicorn]

Gundam 00 2nd also has a MAD treatment, but this one just looks like a normal audio replacement. Watchable here.

[A weird pitched down version of the song. One also exists for Prayer, but I rather link than embed]

I guess that's all for the 2 songs in question. Again, feeling a little... shorted out, here's a couple more:-

Song: Destiny by 玉置 成実
Destiny by Tamaki Nami

Only one additional video:-

[Awesome fan-made stuff for a great game]

And perhaps maybe one more? Let's see... which should I feature? Meh, I choose this:-

Song: Reason by 玉置 成実
Reason by Nami Tamaki

Mainly because of the few extra stuffs I can throw in. First up, this song was used as the ED to the mecha sequel Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny [機動戦士ガンダムSEED DESTINY | Kidō Senshi Gandamu Shīdo Desutinī] (occasionally known as the sequel that shouldn't happen, then again, I'm biased). The ED in question below:-

[Apologies for the LQ]

While I consider this one of her best songs ever, sadly the series wasn't the same. Nevertheless, I still enjoy this song greatly, almost on par with Realize (which I covered earlier before). Additional videos also include:-

[Dance angle of the PV]

[Megurine LUKA cover of the song. A short version featuring MIKU can also be viewed here.]

[A widely watched PV Mad. I'm just putting it]

[Another pitched down version]

Alright, that's all the additional stuffs I have for this post. As a bonus, you can click here to see what the other video I was contemplating of putting was. [The song is actually a cover of this, which was the ED of this. And also a Dave Rodgers version]

There. I've done it. Now I've set the standard.
But oh wells, time for me to close the post, and prepare for the next one.

Ciaoz

Note: I just realize I haven't heard from her in a while now, considering she was churning out about 4 singles a year back then.
