Week 9 Day 7 - One and only flower

To conclude this week, I bring you a song so great, that in 2003/2004, it apparently stayed #1 in charts for 8 weeks straight (assuming I got my sources right):-

This song was so popular that it has been covered by many other artistes around Asia, and EVEN by Coldplay too (first 58 seconds of vid). Laziness and time-rushing prevents me from searching it up, but I'm sure youtube is your friend. :P

I came across this song whilst I was on exchange to Japan in late-2004. Not sure how long the song has been out since then, but it was still tremendously well known, so much so in fact that it was the first pop song we (there were a bunch of us on the exchange) were introduced with, along with gestures!

In any case, whilst I have heard of SMAP before then, I was fortunate enough to know their songs, and subsequently follow them up to be able to get the other 2 songs I posted earlier in the week. Sadly, these are all in my category of pre-2005 songs :(
